Sylvie introduces us to the village, and we learn the backstory of George's father, "the greatest dragon slayer in the land." |

A mysterious woman shows up in the village with a message for George. She makes him an offer, and opinions vary as to whether it's one he should refuse. |
MONSTERS MAKE HEROES
George's betrothed, Aletheia, helps him work through his tangled emotions as he decides whether or not to attempt to face Leviathan. |
SKIPPING AHEAD
George says goodbye to his village and embarks on his quest with Mara. Meanwhile, the shysters of the village scheme and dream. |
BESIDE THE LAKE
Sylvie discovers a monstrous creature on the outskirts of town, and the villagers whip themselves into a frenzy. |
